The Indian School Psychology Association (InSPA) is a voluntary non-profit psychological service society. The primary aim of the Association is (i) to develop School Psychology as a discipline, to promote value-based education and training to meet the needs of society, (ii) to promote communication among professionals who are committed to the improvement of the mental health of children in schools, and (iii) to establish Centres and promote high-quality School Psychology programmes to meet the needs of specific groups, particularly children and teachers to ensure that the Indian school system goes in for a paradigm shift – shifting the focus from academic performance alone to understanding the children to help each one of them to perform and develop holistically. InSPA is an Affiliated Association of the International School Psychology Association (ISPA), USA and the Asia Pacific School Psychology Association (APSPA), Malaysia.

InSPA International Leadership Award for School Psychology Services 2022

is to recognise the remarkable School Psychology services providing training, interventions and counselling for educators and psychologists and teachers in the Asia Pacific Region. Dr Parvathy has done several workshops, Training, and Interventions across the country and in the Asia Pacific Region in the area of Resilience, Positive Psychology, and Socioemotional Development among Children and was instrumental in organizing 3rd APSPA conference.
