This student activity is organized annually to combine Graduation Orientation, Wai Khru Ceremony and New Year’s party. Students and alumni of the Graduate School of Human Sciences join this activity. It is organized by an appointed student committee comprising of representatives from each program with the guidance of advisors.
To inculcate the values of Thai Art & Culture, the ‘Wai Khru’ ceremony was also organized, which commenced with the traditional ‘Wai Khru’ song, each student paid respect to the ‘ajarn’/teacher by presenting fresh jasmine flower hand woven garlands to their instructors and bowing in respect, while the teachers offered blessings to the students to succeed in their achievements and reach their goals.
The purpose of this activity is to provide professional as well as personal development, strengthen relationships among all, share knowledge or expertise from other students and alumni, learn and respect various cultures, and understand a bit about morals and ethics.
